Welcome

First official blog post!

Hi friends!

This is a rather surreal moment. The thought of writing a blog has been on my heart for a while now. I personally have enjoyed reading blogs- they have given me encouragement, help, and an occasional kick in the pants when needed.

As a young wife and mama, I have often felt discouraged, overwhelmed, anxious, and sometimes even the depression that seems to comes with this stage of life. At times it felt like the only thing that could lighten my load was reading a little snippet from another woman’s life. She seemed to be able to read my mind, make me feel seen, and offer me a little glimmer of hope. I truly hope to do the same for you, my dear reader.

There’s literally hundreds of thousands of these blogs out there, and if you’ve ever been on Instagram or any social media, you know that. My goal with this is to simply follow through on a prompting from God, who has led me here to share. Everything I do is for Him. If He’s glorified by me writing, then I will write! (With that said, don’t scrutinize the grammar or sentence structure here lol)

This isn’t about me. I’m hopefully just a person He can use to show how great HE is.

“I want you to be able to see Jesus in a greater way. For you to be drawn into a deeper walk with Him.”

There is a richness that comes when we start doing what the Bible says. It’s rather hard to put to words. I hope that this site is a place where you feel challenged and encouraged to do that.

Like it states on the home page, my hope and prayer for anyone who stumbles upon this blog site is really simple- that here, you’d be pointed toward living an intentional, beautiful life surrendered to Christ.

“Intentional” is not a commonly used word, but once I heard it, it stuck with me. In fact, if you know me personally, you have likely seen the phrase “live intentionally” as the signature of my Gmail.

As a very type “A” personality, or an enneagram 1 (iykyk), I like to live with organization and purpose. It’s this deep need on the inside. (There’s downsides to it for sure, but we can chat about that a different time.)

My point is that I kept feeling this longing to be intentional and purposeful in every area of my life. But it goes beyond that. Since I believe in God, I long to do something meaningful that matters for eternity. And that should apply to all of us who consider ourselves Christ followers.

The word intentional is defined as “done on purpose; deliberate”. I want to invite you on this journey that I’m on. Together we can become intentional in the way we live our lives.

On that note, we ALL have a precious life to steward. Whether you realize it yet or not, we all have a place and race marked out for us by God. Each one is different from another, and the path we are called to may not look the same, but I have found tools along the way that have helped me so much and I believe they can help you as well. In my life, lights are going on, answers to questions I’ve had my whole life are being answered.

This growth journey has been going on for a long time, but the last couple years, I’ve had a renewed “spark”.

It’s beautiful what can happen when we give our lives completely over to Jesus. I’m excited to share some of those beautiful things with you.

“I also want this to be a fun place!”

So, I’ll be sharing about some of my favorite things for…

kids, books, home making, organization +decor, homeschooling, travel, family, friends, motherhood +parenting, marriage, resources, hospitality, and gifts

I really appreciate you taking the time to be here! :)
